Outdoor dining

Today I got most of the back yard cleaned up (which took me a few hours).  I was going to work on the patio below the deck but I decided to do a tablescape on the deck table.  I will save cleaning up the bottom patio for next weekend.

Here is a close up of the centerpiece.  Last year I used my rooster and might use him again out here.

Now for a close up on the plates.

I would still like to get a rug for here and we need to finish hanging the outdoor blinds.  The next picture is an area that I don't like to show.  It is the grill.  Now we do not have the prettiest grill as it has had a rough life.  It got caught in a hail storm and fell over so it has dents.  We don't want to buy a new one until we move to our dream home so I need some advice how to spruce it up a bit.  I am wanting to cover up the bottom part with some sort of material.  Stone work would be nice or maybe some beadboard.  What do you think?

  1. Very pretty warm colors! The deck looks great. We have pollen falling now so I'm waiting for ours to be cleaned after the pollen is finished. My hubby keeps a cover over his grill since our grill is out in the open and gets every kind of condition. It may be an inexpensive way to disguise it for now. I'm pretty sure Lowe's carries a generic grill cover that might do the trick.

    1. Thank you. We used to cover it but I am looking for something more prettier. I don't mind having it uncovered all year long as it is pretty well protected. We might be getting a new one soon anyway since the hubby is wanting to move. I told him that I would only move if it was our dream home that we can live in longer than we normally do. Thanks.

    1. Thank you. We used to have a cover for it but it got torn up in the hail storm. Since we might be moving soon I will put that on the back burner.

  7. Beautiful tablscape...I would love to eat a meal out there!
Maybe you could find some shutters to stand in front of the grill and wrap around the sides a bit, just tall enough to cover the top so you can add a large pretty fern on top of the grill. Easy to remove for cooking and putting back when finished.
Thanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
    Blessings,
