More Fall on the front porch

I got a little bit more done on the front porch today.  I still have a few more areas to decorate.  It took longer today than I thought it would to get the yard work done.  Here is what I got done.  I still have to decorate the bench by the crates.

Look who is hiding in the flowers.

More close ups of the different tiers.

Since I put the bench next to the steps I added one more lantern.

Now for some close ups of the lanterns.

Here is what the front door area looks like.

I love this mail box that I put by the door.  It is just for show.

More to come next time.

Fall has arrived

Today my goal was to get the front porch decorated.  Unfortunately I didn't get all of it done.  Last night we had very strong winds and I woke up today with having to remove lots of tumbleweeds from our yard.  They must have come from the open space behind our home.  They were everywhere.  Even in the front yard.  Most of them where trapped by the fence.  Let's say it was not fun to clean them up.  They were even in the pond.  It took me over 3 hours since our yard is about 3/4 of an acre.  So here is what I did manage to get done.

The two urns in front of the porch have real plants and silk flowers.  I cleaned out the urns today and left the spikes in the middle and the cascading greens. I also left some of the asparagus fern that is tucked in by the pumpkins.  I then added some silk flowers and leafs and tucked in a couple of real pumpkins in the front.

I filled up my metal wheel barrow with silk flowers and leaves and added three real pumpkins.  I like to use real pumpkins as much as possible.  I love the one that looks like it has warts.

My front flower bed was planted this year so the flowers are not filled in.  I have silk flowers and a real pumpkin in the bird bath.

I added a white pumpkin and another wart pumpkin by my rabbit.

I really liked these two pumpkins for their color.  For now I tucked them in the front corner but I may put them elsewhere later on.

Tomorrow after I do my yard work I am going to tackle rest of the front porch.

Fall in the entry way

I have a few areas that I like to decorate for the seasons in my entry way.  The first is this ledge that you see when you walk in the door.

The pumpkin and lantern light up.

I love to decorate my shoe bench but I can only do it for a picture as I use this everyday.

I love this lantern by the bench.  It is the same as the one on the ledge.

They are battery operated.  Here it is with the lights on in the daytime.

The table next to the front door.

I like to put flowers in my metal urn but was not sure where to put it this year.  I decided to set in the entry by the column for now.  I might move it later.

Fall in the kitchen

I put a little bit of Fall in my kitchen.  I have to admit this is one of the hardest rooms to decorate.  I don't have much free space and it doesn't photograph very well with the dark cabinets.  Trust me, it looks better in person.

Let's try some close ups.

My three tier tray.

Above the fridge.

And now the hardest spot to photograph.  The corner sink.

No matter how hard I try the darn faucets are in the way.

So I even tried to get a close up of the top pumpkin and that darn little faucet is peeking in the corner of the picture.  Oh well at least I have something  pretty to look at when I am at the sink.
