Mother's Day snow 2015

Well once again we have snow on Mother's Day.  It snowed last year on Mother's Day but not this much.  We got at least 3 inches or more.  Gotta love that Colorado weather. It rained all last week and late yesterday afternoon it started to snow.  This is what I woke up to this morning.

I hope that my clematis here by the lamp post makes it.  It was just getting flower buds on it.

I see that a bunny ran across the yard in the above picture.  I am worried about a few of my tender bushes and flowers that just started to come up.  It is a very wet snow so it is weighing everything down.  I am glad that I didn't buy any annuals yet.  I was getting the flower fever the other day but resisted.

I would like to wish every one a Happy Mother's Day.  I myself will be staying in until we go to see my mother-in-law this afternoon.  Just when I thought shoveling was over I need to get the snow off of the deck steps.  I am glad I didn't put the snow shovels up yet.

  1. Oh my gosh, Snow in May!!! Here in our part of GA. we got no snow over the winter. We rarely get more than a dusting, but never saw a flake this year. Hoping Spring will be there soon and stay!! Happy Mother's Day.

    1. The good part about Colorado is that most of the time the snow doesn't stay. It was sunny today so it melted most of it. We will be back to warmer weather this week.

    1. It was cold but the sun was out and by the middle of the afternoon most of the snow was melted. It is going to be warmer this week so maybe I can get to work on the yard.
