French country table

It is time for a change in the kitchen.  I am thinking about getting some new items to put in my kitchen.  I started with a vintage enamelware coffee pot.  I basically got this for free as I used my Ebay bucks to purchase it. It is in excellent condition and was only $42.  The inside looks like it has never been used.  It has one chip on the lid otherwise it looks new.

I am still working on getting the storage boxes for our closet so I can get it finished.  At least all the clothes are back in.  Since we had an employee quit I have to be right back to the shop after I mail out our Ebay sales so I haven't had much time to do some shopping.  Working 6 days a week can wear you out.
On a happier note I took a picture of the bird nest this morning and mama bird has laid another egg.

I will check back on the nest in about a week.  I don't want to bother her too much.

  4. I love your Tablescape. I'm a sucker for French country. I like the check napkins and the fact that you can see the French scroll chair pattern through the glass table. Working 6 days a week is hard, I do it too. Hang in there!

  12. I love the french country look. It is what I use in my kitchen too. Isn't it funny how one little coffee pot (in my case a cookie jar) can set the whole tone for a redo. My dad laughed because one time my mom bought a lamp and then ended up doing the whole living room over. He always said that it was a very expensive lamp !!! LOL Visiting from Imparting Grace.

    1. This coffee pot has got me thinking that I need to make my kitchen be more farmhouse french country. Right now I call it a more modern french country with using a lot of black, red and white. We recently got new living room furniture so of course our old tables and lamps didn't go with it so I had to buy new ones. Now I need to get new curtains too.

  13. Jody, I love the enamel coffee pot. I have a couple smaller ones and adore enamelware! We had a robin build a nest on the old door out on the corner of our porch. She laid 4 eggs and yesterday there is now only one. : ( Something got in there and ate 3. The mama is still hanging around, but no longer sitting on the nest. It saddens my heart. I was so eager to hear chirping baby birds! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
    Jann
