Isn't it romantic

I thought that I would get my romantic Valentine's Day tablescape by the fireplace done today.  I went very simple with this by not using any centerpiece.  I think that the fireplace serves that purpose well.

I only used red, white and gold for this tablescape.  I know that the leaf tablecloth doesn't scream Valentine but it is the only tablecloth that I have in this color.  I have been meaning to get a plain one.

So this Valentine's Day we will be staying home and having fondue by the fireplace.  Of course the table stay like this since I need room for the fondue pot.  I didn't think it would look good in the pictures so I didn't make room for it.  It's amazing what you can get done at 7:00 AM.

  3. Your table Skype is so exquisite that anyone would enjoy sitting down in front of your fireplace and having tea. Your crystal glassware was outstanding and very appealing. If you get a chance come visit my tablescape and share the snow flights.

    1. Any meal looks great next to a fireplace. The only thing I will be using that night is the glasses. I have to make room for the fondue pot and fixings. I have some divided plates so you can have your sauces and meat separate.

  7. I wholeheartedly agree! Fireplaces add more emotional warmth and texture to any room, as much as to the proceedings in it. Anyway, I'm sure that Valentine's date will turn out real well and romantic. Keep us posted. All the best! :)

    1. I got mine from The Melting Pot cookbook. Our favorites are the garlic herb cheese fondue and the coq au vin cooking style. They have so many different ones. I found this site that has some of their recipes http://fonduefanatics.com/fondue-recipes/. You might want to see if any of those would work. If you like I can send you the ingredients for the one that we do.
