Mercury glass Halloween

I usually don't decorate for Halloween but for some reason I felt like it this year.  At least on my dining room buffet.  I always loved Vincent Price movies that were based on Edgar Allan Poe stories when I was little and I still do.  So I thought I would do my favorite The Raven.

Now for another update on the master bathroom.  I got the panels painted around the tub and the window sills.  I really like the way it turned out.  My hubby says it looks too dark.  What do you think?  Should I repaint them white or leave them the way they are?  Here is the before.

Now the after.  I like the after since it matches the vanity now.

  6. Your buffet decked out for Halloween looks perfectly spooky! I love the dark surround around the tub. I tend to like the dark rich wood tones, very Tuscan / Old World.

    1. Thank you. I myself tend to go toward dark colored wood myself. Our master bedroom is more Tuscan style so I was trying blend in.

  10. I love mercury glass and the Raven. In fact, I have that same tall pumpkin and I made a 'Nevermore' banner a couple of years ago and did a Raven themed mantle. Yours is so much fun! Love the hanging tray with the bottles! Your bathroom is looking more gorgeous every day! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  11. Your Halloween decor is creepy cool! The tub looks nice and ties in with the vanity, but you both need to like it. Maybe live with it for a while and see if it grows on your hubby. Once you get it decorated too, that will change the look some. Thank you for sharing it and all your fall decor at What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Have a great week!

  19. Lovely! I actually looked for a vintage typewriter because I saw one like that! Not that I could squeeze in another large accessory in my storage! I will have to use a little Halloween magic to do that! Tee hee - lots of fun!
