Did I overdo it?

I thought that I had better get my kitchen table done for Easter as it is soon approaching.  I think that I might have overdone it a bit.  I had a few more items that I wanted to use but ran out of room.  It is definitely colorful.

I bought these little ducklings but didn't care for the color so I painted them.  I just think that ducklings should be more of a yellow color than cream.

Sorry about this next picture being a little dark.  Sometimes I have a hard time getting good shots in the kitchen.  It doesn't get that much sunlight even with the blinds open.

Now I just need to finish the dining room, redo the living room mantel and finish the front porch.  I might even decorate the back deck and patio below.   Realistically I will be lucky if I even get the dining room done today.  I better get started.

  1. Looks great! So fun and colourful - love that you painted that duckling! Are those real buttons on the table? Terrific idea to add colour and they look like candies. Glad I'm not the only one who plans an unrealistic of things to accomplish in a short time! lol

    1. Thank you Lori. Yes those are real buttons. I saw them at Wal-Mart and thought "that might be work instead of confetti". Wishful thinking on my part to get everything done in one day. Hope you are having a great weekend!

  2. Jody, if you lived closer, I would be inviting you to my home to decorate for Easter. Love how you took the decorations up to the light. Since we have a cat who allows us to live in her house, I wouldn't be able to do such a beautiful table (Sarah Lee would have all the buttons on the floor, LOL) but she can't get to the light. Off to the craft store this week for some decorations. Thanks for the inspiration! Kim

  3. Hi Jody,
I love the fun Easter table, especially the colorful buttons you used as "confetti"...I hadn't thought about that before! You asked about overdoing it.....I love the table, but think the decorations on the light fixture above, might be a little much. They were cute, and might look good with a simpler table. I loved the table, however, and the bright colors and fun Easter items. Thanks for the inspiration - I always enjoy your tablescape ideas!
    Blessings to you,
    Lanita

  26. I love the bunny hanging out in the chandelier, he is so cute it almost looks like he is overseeing all of the festivities below. The painted chick does look so much better painted yellow. I have a couple of white chicks in my stash that could use a coat of the yellow paint too. I love the egg plates and all of the bunnies on the table, nice colorful choice with the buttons scattered on the table too.
