Tuscan meets French Country

I love Tuscan and French Country and try to incorporate in every room of my home.  Some rooms are French Country and other Tuscan.  In the dining room I have combined the two.

Here is a full view of my dining room from the formal living room.

Over in the left side is my corner shelf.

I have my wine barrel next to the buffet. I got this chalkboard sign at HomeGoods and I still need to get something written on it.  I was thinking maybe "Seat Yourself".

These next pictures were tricky.  It is impossible to get pictures of the bottom of the buffet as this room is small.  So I got underneath the table to take these.

All I have left to do in this room is get new curtains.  I am changing out the fabric on the cornice board and adding some panels.

Here is the what I have come up with.  I have chosen a panel in a solid color that I will recover the cornice board with and I have two options for the panels.  Please excuse the wrinkles these are fresh out of the packaging.

Both panels coordinate with the solid color but I am leaning towards the one on the left.

I like that the colors go with my rug.  The other one is more neutral so I might use them to make some pillows or maybe a table runner. I might even swap them out during different times of the year.

  1. I love how you've decorated your dining room. The Tuscan and French country touches are so elegant. I particularly like the wine barrel and also the way you decorated your corner cabinet shelves with faux greenery and grapes. It's all lovely.

  2. Very inspiring! I was just trying to figure out what to do on my hutch, and I already have a scale like the one in the top picture, so I used that as inspiration! I also plan to use the corner cabinet as inspiration, because I have one very similar. You have great taste!
