This table is for the birds

I am sharing my dining room table that I decorated today.  This is the first of my Fall tablescapes.  I will probable do a couple more for the dining room.

I love these feather plates that I got at Pier 1 last year.  I didn't get to use them last year since we were moving so I thought these would be perfect for my first Fall tablescape.  I love the rust and teal colors.  I am showing two place settings as I made two different napkin holders.  The plaid napkins work well with the plates also.

I used two different colored leaf flower holders and added two different beaded holders.

I love this quail couple that I also found at Pier 1.  They go perfectly with the plates.

I love how the candle holders turned out.  I put some antler candle holders on top of some black pillar candle holders.

So I have some difficulty getting good pictures in my dining room.  I have to stand outside the patio door to try and get the whole table in the shot.

I like taking close up pictures in this room better.  Just one more of underneath the stand.

Now I need to get busy on the buffet and the corner cabinet.

  3. Oh, your tablescape really speaks of fall and makes me a little less resistant to embrace the next season (been hanging on to summer this year). Love the colours you've used based on those fantastic plates. The two different napkin ring combo's are both great. Your centerpiece with the cute quails on the stand and the rustic antler candleholders on the taller ones is perfect. I enjoyed my visit here this afternoon - wish I was staying for dinner at this table! :)

  5. Jody,
    Absolutely breathtaking, dear friend!
I'm lovin' all the subtle touches of turquoise in your tablescape!
I understand how difficult it is to photograph "tight" spaces.
"Mr. Ed" "gasps" each time I hang on the stairs to the lower level
    while photographing our Entry Hall!
All of your accessories blend harmoniously for a beautiful Autumn themed table!
    Fondly,

    1. Thank you Pat. I have to watch myself when I stand in the doorway as there are two steps down to the patio.

  6. Loving this table! Such brillant and beautiful color and those antler candles....epic! Oh and you said you had to step far back to get your whole table in the picture. I used to have to do that too, but when I checked my settings on my camera, I found I set it to a square size picture, not a landscape one. So check your camera settings and see if you can take larger pictures, then you can just crop and edit them to fit your blog. That's what I do.

    1. Thanks. I only have about two and a half feet from the table to the door so I pretty much have to stand outside the door to get the whole table in the picture. My camera has a zoom and I zoom it out all that it will go to shot the dining room table.

  7. Hi Jody, Those feather plates are so pretty! I also liked the candles with antlers. Even your furniture is in the fall color palate! Well done! Blessings, Janet

  8. Wonderful Fall table-scape. I do love your birds. Pier One has some lovely items for Fall. I've been "itching" to get there and look. May have to leave my wallet at home! :)
