I am happy to be a part of the
"Christmas in the Country" Home Tour and Link Party 2014! I am one of
over 40 decorated homes participating in this two week event from
November 28th till December 12th.
Please visit Creative Country Mom's to see all the new stops on the
tour each day. There is also a Holiday themed link party for the event
where everyone can add thier posts! Let's enjoy a homespun, Country
Christmas at www.creativecountrymom. blogspot.com!
Welcome to my home. The first area that you are greeted by is my front porch. I did a little woodland/plaid theme this year. To me nothing says Christmas like plaid.
As you walk in the door the next thing to see is my grandmother's hall tree. I love to decorate it for the seasons however we use it everyday so it only stays decorated for a short time.
To the left of the foyer is a small area by the powder room that I decorated with my little nutcracker collection that I have started.
Now onto the dining room. I decided to decorate it this year with what I call a rustic glam theme. I put together some glitter and some natural elements.
The next stop is my kitchen. Right now the table is decorated with poinsettias and plaid. I will be changing it out every few days.
To the left of kitchen is the family room. I did a little bit more of a whimsical theme here.
Last but not least is the sitting room that is on the other side of the fireplace wall. I love having a two sided fireplace. It is decorated with a woodland theme.
Well that's it for my house this Christmas. I hope that you enjoyed seeing it and please make sure to visit all the other homes on this tour.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!!

Everything is totally stunning. I adore the use of the plaid and your tree is gorgeous too. I think my very favorite is your dining tablescape. Fabulous.

DeleteJody, I love the plaids for the holiday season. I use them as well, and they absolutely are my favorites. You've got some gorgeous touches - the porch is my favorite, but the entire package is so well curated. Happy Holidays! I was part of this tour also - day 1 - and have really enjoyed all the variety, but your style is much aligned with my preferences in holiday decor. Thanks for sharing.

DeleteTJ Maxx had the cool pillow with words embellished with a wreath. I thought of buying it but then decided to be frugal. Wrong choice. I went back to buy it and they were all out at multiple stores. So here I see it today. :)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas

That's were I got all of the pillows. I have learned my lesson that when I see it I had better get it. I was hesitant about buying them at first and decided to go ahead and do it. I have lost out on many items myself. If I can't make it for less I might as well buy it. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYour decorations are lovely!! I especially like the tablescapes. The use of red and greens stricks just the right note. Vsiting from Home and Garden Party. Linda @bushelandapickle.com
