Fall entry

I can check off one more room on my list of decorating as I managed to get the entry way done.  I got the hall tree and table done.  I love my hall tree.  It was my grandmothers and even though the mirror needs to be replaced I think it adds to its charm.  It is streaky with black spots but you can still see yourself.

My entry is one that I had never seen before.  When you first walk into my home there is an oval area that lets you go three different ways.  To the right is my husband's office.  It used to be the formal living/dining room.  We had a wall put between the two so he could have an office.  Straight ahead will take you by the dining room and into the living room.  If you go to the left this is what you see.

The door to the right of the table is the powder room and to the left is the closet ( you can't see it in this picture).  I had the hall tree where the table is when we first moved in but we use it every day so I moved it to where it is now.

I decided to add some decor below the table but I had to remove it since Kolby likes to chew on the flowers.  That dog will eat just about anything that is unedible.

On to the next room.  I am hoping to get the front porch done this weekend.  I like to have it done by the first day of Fall.  I am ready for the cooler weather to be here.  Last week we had a couple of Fall like days last week with a bit of snow but now it is back in the 80's.  That's Colorado for you.

  1. Wonderful fall entry! Love your grandmother's hall tree and how you've decorated it. My sister just bought an old one at a thrift store and is hoping to fix it up. I'll have to show her yours for inspiration.

  10. Love your hall tree! I wouldn't change a thing about that mirror. Makes it special knowing that your grandmother once looked into it. The addition of the fall decor is perfect for Fall! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
