Before and Afters

I did a little bit of revamping some items last weekend.  Here are a few pictures of what I got done.

Here is a rooster that I bought at a thrift store for $8.  Didn't care for the color so I painted it.

Now here he is finished and displayed in the entry off of the powder room.

I still need to decorate underneath the table.  Just haven't found the right stuff yet.  The next picture is some greenery balls I got at Hobby Lobby.  I don't always like to use the lighter green so I decided to paint two of the balls with spray paint for plastic.  Here is how it turned out.
I needed some napkin holders for my kitchen table to go with the new napkins that I got.  I purchased both of these at Pier 1 Imports.  I wish they had plates to match the napkins.  I couldn't find exactly what I wanted so I painted the napkin holders.  Here is the before and after shots and the kitchen table decorated.

I painted them black and then speckled them with antique white.  I bought the black charges at Pier 1 Imports and got the white plates at Goodwill for 99 cents each.
Ok, now you are probably wondering why there is a picture of a can of spray paint and some cording.  I now that this looks kind of crazy to be using these items together.  I wasn't too sure about this when I came up with this idea myself and wasn't really sure if it would work out or not.  Check back on the next posting to see the results.

  2. I really like how you found the shape of what you wanted and then painted it the colors you wanted. Very industrious and your display turned out very pretty.
