Front porch part 2

I finally got the front porch done this past weekend  .I love this Santa boots planter that I recently purchased,

I thought they would look nice next to my bench.  So  once I placed it there I decided to change the decor around the bench.

Front door

Here is what my front porch looks like from the driveway.  The only thing I hate about the front porch is that it is hard to see everything because of the columns.  You really need to be on the porch to see all the decor.

Here is a close up of the urns out front.  I got them done last weekend.  I thought if I left dirt in them it would be easier to stick the stems in.  The one on the right worked perfectly but for some reason the one on the lefts dirt was frozen.  I had a very hard time getting the stems to stay.

Christmas bench in the foyer

I love to decorate my bench for Christmas.  This is a functional bench so it only stays decorated a few days.  I was able to get a lot more decorating done this weekend.  I am still tweaking a few things on the front porch.

It fits perfect in this little nitch by the staircase.  I also added greenery to the railing above.  I will be doing another post the the staircase later on.

I love to use my black boots for decorating this time of year (when I am not wearing them of course).

Just a touch of greenery and beads make them stand out.  Be sure to check back for more of my Christmas decor.

Elegant Christmas mantel

Since my family room has more brown furniture and fixtures I thought I would do a bronze and gold theme.  I only decorated the fireplace and my tray on the coffee table.

This room is hard to take pictures in.  It faces North and today is pretty cloudy.

I also decorated the stacked boxes by the hearth.

Since this is the last room that I tackled I only decorated the tray on the coffee table. Maybe next year I can do more.

I took some night pictures as the greenery has lights and the candles are a glow.  The room is much prettier at night.

Christmas tree is finally done

It only took me 3 1/2 hours to get it done but by gosh I got it done.  I managed to come away with minor scratches and a few cut fingers.  I have taken pictures in the daylight and at night.

Here is how it looks at night.

I kept the side table in the room but had to move it over some.  I decorated with some whimsy  snowmen and reindeer.

Daytime pictures.

I added a mini light string in the greenery.
Night pictures.

I also added some Christmas to my hutch in the room.

The greenery on top of the hutch has lights.
Night pictures.

This is by the front door.  I love this space.  It is great for decorating.  It was the perfect spot for my Santa and reindeer.  The Santa moves his arm with the lantern that lights up and the reindeer moves his head.

Here are some night pictures.

Let's get one last look at the tree.

A few close up shots
