Fall front porch finally done!!

I finally got my front porch done this weekend.  Here are some of the pictures. This is the birdbath in the front of the house that I put flowers in since it leaks.

Those pesky squirrels keep nibbling at my pumpkins.  This is the first year that I have had a problem with them.  Here is the lamp post out front.  I was going to put pumpkins in front of it but I didn't want them to get stolen since it is by the sidewalk.

Here is my wheel barrow this year.  I think that I might have gone a little overboard this year.

Next is a close up of one of the baskets that in on my front porch railing.

The next two pictures are of the swag on the railing by the front steps and  underneath my light on the garage. We have three of them.  I didn't want to take a picture of the garage doors as there is a paint sample for the new colors we are going to paint the house.  We have a bad hail storm here late in August and ruined the roof, the siding and our landscaping.

The last two pictures are one of the pumpkin topiaries that I made by the front door and a shot of the front porch peak.  I have a topiary on each side of my front door.  It is hard to get a good picture as our front door faces the railing.

Hopefully next time I can get my basement bathroom done and get the pictures posted.  Happy Fall everyone.

Fall entry

I got the entry area done and some of the dining room and kitchen done. It sure is hard to try and squeeze everything into one day.  Here are some of the pictures.  First is the entry area.  I have an antique hall tree in the main area and a small table in the back area of the entry by the powder room.

This hall tree was my grandmothers.  Here is a close up of the bench area.

This is the area off of the powder room.  I still need to get it decorated.  I have blue and brown in there and found some fall decor at Pier 1 that will work.

Here is a close up of the table top and underneath area.

I got the buffet done in the dining room and still need to photograph the table and finish decorating the hutch.

Here is a sneak peek at my kitchen.  Just need to tweak it a bit more.

This is the corner of my island.  Once I get the rest done I will post the pictures and of the dining room also.

Fall living room part 2

I finally got my living room done for Fall. Here are the final pictures.

I bought a black pumpkin with carvings from Terry's Village recently.  I thought it would look better if the carvings were white, so I took a paint pen and colored in the carvings.  Here is the before and after pictures.

The carving stand out much better now.  Here is a peek at my kitchen table decorated for Fall.  I will be getting the rest of pictures for the next post.

Fall living room part 1

I almost got the living room done.  I still have the coffee table and sofa table to finish.  Here is what I got done so far.

Here is the living room mantel.  The two pumpkins are the ones that I repainted in my last post.

I took a few shots of the entertainment center.  I took a full picture and individual pictures of the bookcases.

Here are the two end tables in the living room.  I can't put too much on them as you still have to be able to use them.

 I have been trying to decide how to decorate my kitchen table.  I bought a new place mats from Pier 1 and I got the square plates from TJ Maxx.  I still can't decide on the tablecloth or the napkins.

Let's see I still need to finish the dining room, kitchen, powder room, entry and front porch by garage.  I might have everything done by the time I will be decorating for Christmas.

Fall front porch

I finally got my front porch done this weekend.  I still need to decorate around my wheel barrow by my garage.  Here are a few pictures of the porch.  I also took a $4.97 pumpkin from Wal-Mart and repainted it.  I will be using them in my living room.  For now I have the before and after pictures.

This is by my front door.

The next picture are toward the end of my front porch.

I bought 4 of these pumpkins at Wal-Mart for $4.97 each.  I have repainted two of them so far.  I think I will paint the other two white.  Here is what the pumpkin looked like when I bought it.

It's finally Fall !!!

Fall is my favorite season.  I love all the warm colors. I am still trying to get all of my fall decorating done for this year.  It's amazing how hard it is to decorate, clean house, run errands and do laundry when you work 6 days a week.  Also on Saturday the 14th our washing machine quit and I finally got my new machines last Thursday. Hopefully I can get all my decorating done this weekend.

My Dining Room

I haven't had time to post lately as our little Toby dog had to be put down on August 1st.  I didn't feel like doing too much to the house.  And of course my husband  just had to get a new dog and it is a puppy.  He takes us much of my time has he is all over the house.  I did manage to finally get my dining room in order yesterday.  I had been using it for painting the kitchen cabinets.  Here are a few pictures.  We replaced the light, had a wall added between the living and dining room and I painted it a warm yellow. Wouldn't  you know it that as soon as I get it cleaned up and decorated it is almost time to decorate for Fall.

I haven't figured out what else I want to do with the shelf on the hutch but I did get the top of it decorated.

I still need to finish below the buffet but here is what the top looks like.

My husband talked me into putting a mural on the other wall of the room.  I had the furniture there first and he didn't like it.  We had the wall put in when we moved in.  It was open to the living room on the other side.  It has now become his office.

Here is a picture of my table.  I went to Pier 1 yesterday and purchased the place mats, napkins and napkin rings.  I also get the candle holders and candles there also. I got the plate at Marshall's.  Thinking ahead for Fall.

The last thing I need to do is make the panels for the windows.  Here is the material that I bought.  I actually is a much darker red than it shows in the picture.

Right now I am still working on decorating my kitchen, half way done with the guest bathroom and I still need to decorate the bookshelves in the library across from the dining room.
