It's a candy Christmas in the kitchen

This weekend I was able to get almost all of my Christmas decorating done.  I still have part of the kitchen and the family room to finish.  I like to use a cooking or candy theme for the kitchen.  This year it is candy.  I took my inspiration from these cute skating plates and of course added candy.

I just happen to have a small pair of ice skates that I found at Goodwill a few years ago.  They fit perfectly under the light.

I went a little overboard with decorations but I say "what the heck, it's Christmas".   Here is a close up the layers that I used for the plates.

Overall I had fun putting this table together.  I will be clearing the table but I am keeping the light decorations as is.

    1. Thank you Edna. I just hope the skates don't fall down. I removed most of the items below it except for the candy jars.

  5. I'm smitten with all the giant candies you've used! Makes me feel like a giddy kid! It would be a shame to take this down.

  12. Jody, this is my favorite so far! But then it's no surprise. I love a candy theme! I do it often in my basement. Love the hanging skates. I have 2 large pair and one small pair. The small ones say 'Lake Placid'. I bought them on vacation in Wisconsin. I have them hanging on swags tied to the railing going up or stairs. Thanks for sharing with Creating Christmas.
    hugs,
