I thought I would keep it simple and not decorate around the bench since I will be moving this soon anyway. We will be having the appraisal done on our current home Monday so that night I can start packing. I will be lucky to get all my breakables packed and moved over to the new house before we have movers come. I like to move my own items that are breakable as I have had things broken before. This will be a chore as I have a lot more breakables since we moved here.

DeleteYour bench is beautiful! I so want to decorate for fall but it's still hot here. I'm living through everyone else right now.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It is warm in the day and cool at night here. One of my trees in the front is starting to change color already.

Coming over from A Stroll Thru Life!
Thank you Linda. Glad you came by to see me and have a great day!
DeleteSuch a beautiful display! I love the throw....do you mind sharing where you purchased it?
ReplyDeleteThank you. I found the throw on Ebay a few years ago. I think it is called Buchanan Antique Tartan. Mine is small just made for your lap.
DeleteAwww it all looks so well together and I love the addition of the plaid blanket that would feel good on a cool evening!!
ReplyDeleteThe whole bench is so welcoming, lovely addition to your front porch!!
Wishing you luck when you start packing, I know it can be a pain in the neck.
Thanks for sharing on the Oh My Heartsie Girls WW this week!!!
Have a great week!
Karren
Thank you Karren. I started packing Monday night. I thought that I could at least get one room packed a night but that isn't happening. I have way too much stuff that needs to be wrapped carefully and that takes a lot of time.
DeleteHi Jody..
ReplyDeleteYour bench is so cozy and colorful. It's so very pretty. Best wishes for your moving adventure.
Have a blessed weekend..
Tamara
Thank you Tamara. I think that this time I might actually have everything ready when the movers arrive.
DeleteHi Jody,
ReplyDeleteI am visiting from Share Your Cup Thursday. Your fall inspired bench looks so inviting. It looks like a delightful place to curl up with a good book and a cup of hot cider. I see that you have always wanted to live in the south. I live on the MS Gulf Coast. Can't get any more south than that in MS! My husband once lived in Colorado while his dad was stationed there. I have always wanted to visit. Looks like a beautiful state. I am so glad to have found you and am a new follower. Please stop by Still Woods Farmhouse when you get a chance. I am sharing a yummy fall inspired muffin that would taste absolutely delicious on your bench!
Blessings from Lynda at Still Woods Farmhouse
Thank you Lynda. I just checked out your muffins and they look delicious. I love Colorado but I am not a snow lover unless I can just stay home. I love the South with the humidity and warmth. I started following your blog too. I love the pumpkin that you did for the door. I have always wanted to cut some of my pumpkins in half. I just might have to try it. Have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteYour little bench looks so warm and inviting! Good luck with the move!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carol. I am hoping this one will go without a hitch. I plan on having everything packed way before the move date since we are moving 8 days after we close.
DeleteSo pretty! It is great that you decorated just a bit. Good luck with your move. I know what you mean about those breakables. I hope everything arrives safe and sound!
ReplyDeleteThank you Barbara. I am going to have a ton of boxes and loose items that I will have to move myself. I don't want to pack the boxes too heavy for me to lift so I am using more boxes than normal.
DeleteGood luck on your move! I LOVE your pretty vignette on the bench! Maybe it is because I'm half Scottish-but I adore anything plaid!
ReplyDeleteIt's perfection Jody! Love the plaid throw. Best of luck with the move! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Thank you Jann. I got a lot of packing done this weekend.
DeleteYou're porch looks so inviting. I wish you courage and strength for your impending move. Even though you can't decorate inside, you've poured a lot of creativity into your porch decorations. Ann Marie @ Iris Abbey www.irisabbey.com
ReplyDeleteThank you and have a wonderful week.
DeleteThat's a lovely Fall arrangement! Thanks for joining us on Oh My Heartsie Girl Wordless Wednesday.

Beautiful!! I always loved how you decorated this porch!! I so wish I had a covered porch to decorate but mine is exposed to the elements...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Deb
Thank you Deb. I am going to have more porches to decorate when we move to our new home next weekend. Not sure if I have enough furniture.
DeleteVery pretty! Thanks for joining Home Sweet Home!
ReplyDeleteThank you and have a great day!
DeleteHi Jody, just hopping by to let you know that I will be featuring you at SYC this week.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Thank you letting me know Jann. Happy Fall!
DeleteJody, this is anything but simple. Your little bench is one of the most lively and inviting Autumn displays I've seen. Love your attention to details with color and texture as well as mixing elegant with nature.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the lovely compliment. Have a great rest of the week!
DeleteSo pretty! I love the way this demonstrates how you can create a big impact even if you don't have a large space to decorate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining Grace at Home. I'm featuring you this week!
Thank you Richella.
DeleteThis is beautiful. If I did this at my house it would be a hot mess in about 2 days. I just love it! Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty
ReplyDeleteThank you. I can't keep this on my porch either as it would blow away. I can only leave heavy items on the porch. I hope I will have better luck at my new house with decorating outside.
DeleteVery cute Jodi! The blanket adds such a cute touch.
ReplyDeleteThank you Liz. Have a great day!
