Pretty scary Halloween tablescape

I like to do Halloween decorating more pretty then creepy.  So I think that I combined enough pretty and scary to make this tablescape work.

The black and white theme works well in my kitchen.  The plate setting is more pretty while the centerpiece is a little creepy.  I placed the skull inside my candy dish that looks like skeleton hands.  I just removed the dish and added some spanish moss.

The plates are more pretty.  I first started with a black charger, then a white charger, another black charger, a white plate and last my salad plates.  They have four different designs.

A skull

 A spider

 A pumpkin

 A bat

I just used my script napkins and placed a spider on each one.  I also added some black and white beads and a black and white straw inside the glasses.

I think that I accomplished the look I was going for.  A little bit of scary mixed with some pretty.

  1. AWESOME !! It sure is scaryyy my friend. The centerpiece is fabulous with that 'ugly' looking skull, my grandgirls would go crazy over this table.
    Happy Halloween !

    1. Thank you Fabby. This is about as scary as I like to go. I got the skull at Goodwill. His jaw is hinged so you can put it in different positions.

  2. I also like Halloween a bit more "pretty" than "scary" and I think you've done a great job of combining them. I really like how you have the mice/rats standing up and looking at that skull - perfect! Love those salad plates and also how you did up the glasses with extra decor. The script napkins look terrific with the spider embellishment. Going back to pin!
