Christmas Mantel 2015

So this past weekend I was able to get the rest of my home decorated for Christmas.  It was a do or die mission for me.  I am usually not this late getting things done but when you work 6 days a week and had just moved into a new home in October I knew I wouldn't get as much done as I would want.  I am still trying to find things that I use at Christmas.  Next year I will be organized so I can go all out.  I only decorated the mantel in the family room and did manage to put up my skinny tree (which doesn't work in the new home) and my nativity scene.

This is the only picture I will show of my tree.  I had to slap it together pretty fast Sunday night so it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to.  Also it is much too small for the space.

Next year we plan to get a bigger tree that will go into the formal living room.  It is a two story room so we are thinking at least 9 1/2 foot tree will look nice.

    1. Thank you. I am going to be changing the fireplace sometime next year. Thinking about beefing it up with some wood on the sides.

  2. Your mantel and tree look wonderful! I cannot imagine moving into a new home and working as much as you do at this time of year - you are amazing to have anything up! Hope you get some time to sit back and enjoy!

    1. Thank you Lori. I have worked myself to death in the past two months. We also sell the items that we have a hard time selling in our store on Ebay. I have to do the packaging and going to the post office. Not fun this time of year. On Monday I was at the post office for an hour. Now that I am done with the Christmas decorating I have been taking it easy. I will be working on the house again at the beginning of he year.
