Winter bench

I love our new yard.  It has so many areas to decorate in the snow.  We had a fence and gate put in to close off the rest of the backyard and I thought it would be nice to hang a wreath on the gate.  Well of course it looked a little bare so I brought my small bench over.

I love all the big evergreen trees that we have on this property.  They look great in the background with the snow on them.

So this would be a great place to sit with a cup of hot cocoa and watch the wildlife walk by.  I might try and get the front porch done today. It is still a bit cold this morning.

  1. Oh so pretty! Your wreath looks wonderful on the gate and the blanket of snow adds just the right Christmas background. I'm sure you will enjoy your new yard in all the seasons.

    1. Thank you Lori. It was just a little too cold today to finish anymore outside decorating. I am hoping to get the front porch done within the next few days.

    1. Thank you Debbie. I would gladly give you all the snow that I have in my yard. It is supposed to be getting warmer this week and I hope that most of it is off of the driveway by the weekend. We have a lot of shady spots and with it being cold and windy it is hard to keep it clear.

    1. Thank you. Since we live in the foothills it snows a little more and stays longer. It is suppose to get warmer in the next few days. I hope most of this will melt (at least on my driveway would be nice).

  7. Beautiful Jody. It's been very warm here in NJ, unseasonally warm. I don't mind it all.

  8. Jody,
While I adore this photo with the bench. . .I'm sure it was equally as lovely with the single wreath!!!
Hot cocoa and wildlife watching sounds totally heavenly to me!!!

LOVE the snow on the trees!!!

    1. Thank you. Actually the bench used to be larger but I had my hubby make it smaller. It is more like a snuggle bench for two now. The snow on the trees is my favorite.
