Spring decor past

I am ready for Spring decorating and then I am not.  I feel like I want to decorate but I am not coming up with any new ideas yet.  Maybe it is because my house is a disaster area right now with getting the new furniture and not totally organized yet.  I can't even step into my craft room without hitting obstacles.  It is full of Christmas decor that I haven't organized and put away.  That needs to be done before I can get out the Spring decor.  So for now I am going back and looking at my past Spring decorating to inspire me.

I always seem to use this little dog and the galvanized boots on the front porch.  Maybe I need to try something different.

With all this warm weather we have been having I feel like getting out and decorating the porch a little bit but snow is in the forecast for tomorrow.  It shouldn't stick around too long since we will be getting back up in the 60's for the weekend.  We have had one mild winter here in Colorado this season.  I am even starting to see my backyard again (which normally doesn't happen until around April).

  3. I must be thinking about spring too- I bought those same flowers you have in the door pocket! I just had to have them- they make a striking display! I'd love to decorate for spring. I wish it would make it come sooner since it doesn't really hit here until April. Love your vignettes and the outdoor table!

    1. Thank you. We are lucky to get Spring here by the end of May. One year it was really nice in the beginning of May so I planted some flowers and bushes in the front yard. Well it snowed the next week and killed it all. I learned my lesson not to plant until June.

  5. Lots of gorgeous displays! Spring is my favorite season and it has felt ever so spring like here for over two weeks. Loving it, but know that we need more snow. With Easter early this year I think I will put it out when Valentines décor goes away. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  6. Your pictures are all beautiful! I feel like you I am not ready and then I am. I have been so confused living in Texas the past year. The calendar says winter but the past few days it has been nice so I am itching for spring.
I love the boots and dogie on your front porch! So cute! I also like all your flower arrangements. I have to do more of that. Time just seems to be flying and I'm not sure where......Have a great Valentine's Day!

    1. Thank you. I know what you mean about the weather this year. We had snow on Wednesday. Yesterday it was back in the high 50's. Today and tomorrow will be in the 60's and they say it will be in the 30's on Monday and Tuesday with snow. I myself am not sure what season we are in.

  7. Up here in Indiana it feels like winter will never end! I loved seeing your pictures - just the pop of color I needed and a reminder that spring will be here eventually.
Thanks for joining the #HomeMattersParty - we hope to see you again next week :)

  8. Happy St Valentine's Day. Happy Pink Saturday. I am still embracing winter - mostly become winter is still embracing us. More extreme cold and snow on the way. I have been enjoying puttering and organizing as I am slowly putting things away. Easier now while I am not feeling the pull of getting outside. I cannot force spring on myself. One day the air will have a different scent. I'll see some pussy willow or forsythia through the florists' window and I will suddenly be inspired to go home and decorate for Spring.

    1. Thank you. We are going to be in the high 60's today. Unusual for February this year. It normally would be cold with snow. We will be getting cold weather again by Monday with snow. Spring doesn't come early here. We are lucky to be able to plant by the end of May. Happy Valentine's Day!

    1. I got the bunny a couple of years ago at Tuesday Morning and the cabbage and carrots I got last year at Hobby Lobby.
