Rustic glam dining room

I was trying to think of what to do in the dining room this year.  I wanted to try something different that I have never done before.  So this year I decided to combine glitter and natural decor.  I have to take a picture from this end as the tuscan mural just doesn't blend too well with Christmas decor.  This is how it turned out.

Please ignore the mural's reflection in the mirror.  It is so hard to decorate for Christmas in here.

  7. Your house looks beautiful and festive! Your dining table centerpiece is gorgeous with that pretty runner and reindeers. The plates are adorable too, as well as your vignette in the side board buffet.

  8. Hi Jody!
This is lovely! I love the place settings! I think we have the same red glitter chargers - I bought mine from Pier One Imports! I too used a plaid table runner - yours is absolutely perfect for your tablescape! Happy Holidays!

  10. Everything about your old world style tablescape is simply beautiful. The warmth of the natural elements helps to subdue the reds and greens on the table for an overall comfortable mellow look. The sideboard is beautifully decorated too, the colors are all melded together very nicely. I have been trying to figure out how to accomplish some of the same goals in my living room. I have been incorporating the Tuscan look into my living room and dining room a little at a time. I think I will study what you have done here and copy some of your design ideas.

    1. Thank you. I have a hard time with the dining room at Christmas. We have a tuscan mural on the wall behind the table and for some reason Christmas colors just don't look good. The mural goes well with every season but Christmas. That's why I took the picture the other way. This year I wanted to use my gold and mercury glass but still wanted some of the green and red so I threw this together. Have a wonderful week!
