Simple Fall mantel

Our fireplace in our living room is two sided.  The other side is in the sitting room that is off of the master bedroom.  This is the first year I have decorated this mantel.  I decided to keep it simple since no one really sees this room but us.  I still need to finish decorating the room so all I will be showing right now is the mantel.

I am not a big fan of all white on a fireplace.  I would like to change the tile out but I might decide just to paint the mantel instead.  I think I will also add some more detail to it with some moldings.

I am also glad to say that the bathtub is out of the dining room as of today.  I think that I am going to miss it.  It has been there for over two months now.  We just have a few more projects to get done in the master bathroom.  We have the shower enclosure ordered now and the tub will be officially installed in the next few days (we have to fix a few tiles in the tub area).

  1. Such a pretty elegant display. I am always envious of the arched niche above a fireplace mantle, it truly frames whatever you place up there. Absolutely stunning! :)

  2. Congratulations on getting the bathtub out of the dining room! LOL... Your fireplace mantel looks great- love the mix. It's funny how some people want everything white and then some don't. I have brass, marble and oak which a lot of people balk at but it's too nice to paint. One good thing about the white is it's neutral and fairly easy to mix with things.

    1. Thank you! I myself like white just not all white. My trim and doors are white throughout the house which is what I prefer. I guess I like more of a mix of colors.

  3. Good job on getting the bathtub out. You have really been working hard! I love your white mantle. Mine upstairs is wood and I couldn't wait to have a white one downstairs. lol! Kind of fun to have both now. Thanks for sharing with SYc.

    1. Thank you! I myself like wood and white mantels. Both my mantels are white in our new house. Our last house they were wood to match the trim.

    1. Thank you! I get most of my tuscan decor at Hobby Lobby. Every once in a while I can find some at Goodwill. The rooster in this picture I got at Gordman's and the mirror is from Goodwill.
