Happy Halloween everyone. I took this picture a few years ago from the back of my house and I thought it would be perfect for Halloween.

An elegant haunting
I don't decorate for Halloween too much but I thought it would be fun to do the dining room buffet. I was going for a more elegant than scary. Even though there are bones they blend in with the pretty stuff.
A closer look to the right side of the buffet we have a women in a mask that I draped some beads around her neck. The rats next to her got a some beads too.
The left side of the buffet is adorned with a harlequin skull in snow globe. But when you shake this one up the snow if black. A black and white pumpkin on a candlestick with more beads. I also added my tall black owl.
The middle I used my silver candlestick holders with bone candles. I placed a skull on top of the book stack and of course added some more beads.
I love my new find from HomeGoods. The minute I saw it I snatched it right up. It was still on the cart when I saw it. They didn't have time to put it on the shelf.

Playing around with the camera
The hubby and I thought it would be a good idea to get some pictures of us this weekend. So we got out the camera and tripod and took a few shots. This is our prettiest tree for Fall in our yard. We mostly have evergreen trees and a few aspens.
This is taken by our pond in the backyard. You can see the Fall colors starting behind us in the foothills.
My hubby doesn't care much for getting his picture taken. Now that I am getting older I am starting to feel the same way. But of course that didn't stop him from taking pictures of me. Here I am on the back patio.
Here I am with my two little boys. The brown and white one is Kolby and the other is Bailey.
Here is the view of our pond from our deck. I really need to get some more Fall color for this area. I think I will plant some more bushes in this area next year.

A witching good time tablescape
I wanted to a fun Halloween tablescape so I thought I would use my humorous witch plates. Helga the witch and her pet raven Boris are joining me.
I got both of these at Pier 1. I just added some Halloween garland and pumpkins to them for a simple centerpiece.
I also got these dishes at Pier 1 last year. They have four different sayings.
I took some black tulle ribbon and scrunched it up into the wine glasses to look like a boiling potion.

Eat Drink & Be Scary
I normally don't decorate for Halloween but I do like to do a few tablescapes. The first one I have done is my scary one.
This is my black and white theme.
I found this sign at HomeGoods and thought it would go perfectly with my Halloween dishes.
I love the skull. The jaw is on hinges so you can adjust it how you like it. the skull is resting on a candy dish made of skeleton hands. I just removed the stainless bowl and added the skull. Ialso added some spiders to it.
I got this crow at Hobby Lobby along with another. I will using both of them later on in the dining room.
I love these Halloween dishes. There is a skull, bat, pumpkin and spider. If you look closely you will see the new stemless wine glass at each place setting.
I found the wine glasses at HomeGoods and they almost match the plates perfectly. The only exception is they don't match the pumpkin plate. The set includes two skulls, a bat and a spider. The bat glass says "here for the boos".

Great buy at HomeGoods
I went to HomeGoods yesterday at lunch with just the intention of looking around when I came across this lovely item.
It was on the clearance rack and I am not sure why as I could not find anything wrong with it. None of the tips of the antlers are broken or any cracks in it. It is perfect for Fall and Christmas decorating. I am going to wait to use it when I do my Christmas decorating and check out the price.
Yes it was only $15. I didn't measure it but it it over 12 inches wide and it is pretty heavy.
I am not sure if I am going to keep it this color. Just not sure what color would look the best for it.

Fall is finally on the front porch
Well, I finally got the front porch decorated for Fall and just in time for our first snow of the season.
This is the first time I have ever done this. Here is how it looks overall.
I put two different lanterns mixed in with the pumpkins and mums.
For the rockers I added some black, white and tan plaid pillows. They tie in nicely with my Fall sign and other decor.
Just some simple decor for the bench this year.
This throw that I got at HomeGoods reminds me of a rag rug but softer.
