I needed some candlesticks for the dining room buffet and just couldn't find what I wanted in the house so I bought these from Hobby Lobby. I did not like the color but do like the shape. So I painted them.
Now here they are on the dining room buffet. I decided to do minimal decorating this year for the buffet.
The soup tureen I got at Goodwill of all places for $7.99. I believe that it older ironstone. I can't read the stamp on the bottom. It is is pretty good condition, just has one little chip on it.
Now here is a close up of how I decorated it.
It is hard to find these at the thrift store with the ladle. I got lucky with this one. Here is what I got done so far with the dining room table.I still need a few more items to complete it. Here is a close up of the plates so far.
I still need to get two more of these. I only bought four thinking I would use them in the kitchen, but I decided to use them in the dining room instead.
In the kitchen I finished off the island area and added a few more birds to the kitchen table. I just love these little birds and all the different colors they come in. I have them in yellow, green, white and blue. Maybe next year I will get some in pink.
Here is a picture of the bunny on the island before I painted it.
And here he is after on the island and my newly updated kitchen table with the new birdies that I purchased.
I traded out my kitchen lamps by the sink for some topiaries. I think they look great for springtime. Maybe if I added some ribbon to them. I think that I will keep them up all year long. This is one of the lamps that I used to have by my sink. Of course I took this picture before we completed the renovation. After the renovation I just didn't like them anymore by the sink.
Here is the kitchen sink area now.
The last area I got done is my console table in the living room. I just decided to one corner of the table. I got this lamb and the egg from Terry's Village. I think he is adorable. Can you see what is hidden in the container?
That's it for now. I am hoping that today I can get my front porch started. I have to clean it off, do some painting and decorating. I probably won't get the decorating done as I need to revamp the bench and get new cushions. Happy Sunday to everyone!
